You will need to drill an access hole near the bottom of one of the legs above the mounts approximate 1" above the top of the mounts when the mounts are fully seated in the tube and an exit hole near where you will be mounting your lights on the top cross tube. Insert a wire during assembly to serve as a cord for pulling the wires through the tube when the assembly is complete. We recommend using a good quality automotive anti-seize compound on all threads. While not mandatory this additional step will save you work later should you decide to move or disassemble rod holders etc. Two different style mounts "side and deck". Mounting holes are .278 diameter and are sized for 1/4 20 screws. Stainless steel screws are recommended. Also backing plates are recommended. You may need to cut small amounts of flotation foam under the gunnels on some boats. Assembly required. Bolts,nuts and lock washers for holding the bases to the deck or cabin side are not included due to the wide variety of hull and or cabin thicknesses. Purchase the stainless steel bolts, nuts, fender washers and lock washers locally. CAPTAINS PACKAGE You can swap some items, however not all items have the same swap value.
