These track backing plates are designed to reinforce each of
the mounting stress points the gunnel creates when heavy equipment is
mounted in the tracks. We recommend anyone running dipsy rod holders or
downriggers in their track reinforces the underneath mounting hole
locations whenever possible. These plates are made from solid aircraft
grade aluminum.
